Men’s Ministry
Discipleship Groups
We want you to be devoted to Jesus Christ. Being devoted to Jesus is a life-long journey and we are committed to helping you along the way. Devotion to Jesus comes through devotion to the Bible, which is His Word written to you personally. We encourage you to use the SOAP journaling method (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer). Journaling is an excellent way to record and process what God has spoken to us.
We have groups that gather throughout the week. If you are interested in this, we have a group ready to meet you and show you how it works. It is an excellent opportunity to devote yourself to the discipline of Bible reading and link arms with other men who are like-minded.
Widow Ministry
The Widow Ministry is dedicated to looking after the needs of our widowed community by enhancing their self worth and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We do this by forming teams of men who “adopt a widow” and assist her by visiting one day a month, normally the second Saturday of every month. The men assist the widow in a variety of practical ways: cleaning eave troughs, trimming bushes, changing light bulbs, doing minor home repairs, or simply praying with them. The widow ministry men also meet quarterly to pray, encourage each other, assess their progress and adjust their plans accordingly.
God’s Men At Work
On the second Saturday of each month, our men meet together to undertake small repair projects. These projects will usually be completed in less than a day and require a minimum of skills in carpentry, plumbing, roofing etc. All levels of carpentry skills needed.
