Wednesday Men’s Bible Study
The Wednesday Men’s Bible Study offers men from all walks of life the opportunity to unite for the purpose of prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. We are currently studying about how to live a transcendent life beyond the daily grind. The Bible study meets on Wednesdays at 6:15pm in Room 148.
This is the very core of the men’s ministry. These triad or quad groups meet regularly for the purpose of spiritual growth. The mentor invests his life into the mentees and challenges them to embrace complete and courageous living in Christ.
Man To Man Lunches
The Man to Man lunches are a time for the men of First Baptist to fellowship, be challenged in our walk with the Lord, and build relationships with other men of all ages. It is also a great opportunity to invite other men who may not be involved in another local church. As men, we all need encouragement as we face the battles of life that are all around us. Please join us as we gather regularly to encourage each other to become more of the men God has designed us to be.
The next Man To Man Lunch is: TBA
The Widow Ministry is dedicated to looking after the needs of our widowed community by enhancing their self worth and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We do this by forming teams of men who “adopt a widow” and assist her by visiting one day a month, normally the second Saturday of every month. The men assist the widow in a variety of practical ways: cleaning eave troughs, trimming bushes, changing light bulbs, doing minor home repairs, or simply praying with them. The widow ministry men also meet quarterly to pray, encourage each other, assess their progress and adjust their plans accordingly.
God’s Men At Work
On the second Saturday of each month, our men meet together to undertake small repair projects. These projects will usually be completed in less than a day and require a minimum of skills in carpentry, plumbing, roofing etc. All levels of carpentry skills needed.
