About Us

In February of 1839, twenty-five people organized First Baptist Church to reach people who needed to hear the gospel in the little village of Spartanburg. Generations later, we continue to see God move in our community, in our lives, in our hearts, and in our relationships. Here at FBS, we value every person experiencing Jesus in an authentic way through biblical teaching, worshiping together, growing in community, and serving together.
