Tax Savings
If you are over age 70 ½ and have to take a Required Distribution from your IRA, talk to your tax advisor about how you can send that directly to the church and save on taxes.

Online Stewardship
First Baptist Spartanburg offers online giving as a convenience for those who prefer this method. This is not intended to facilitate those giving to incur debt. FBS practices and encourages sound Biblical money management principles and we do not recommend credit cards for online giving.
Online giving is secure and may also be set up using an automatic bank draft from your bank account or through your personal bankcard.
You are still free to give through our weekly Sunday service, by setting up an e-check or EFT through your bank, or by mailing your check to 250 East Main St. Spartanburg, SC 29306.
Some who give online write “giving online” on their envelope and place it in the offering plate on Sunday as a part of their worship. We acknowledge that giving is a personal matter and God directs each of us to give in various ways.
It is the position of First Baptist Spartanburg to put donor funds to work through the approved budget or other specified fund area as approved by the Finance Committee, typically within one year of receiving funds. In the event contributions are made to a specific area outside of an approved fund and that project is fully funded, delayed, or cancelled, funds will be redirected to the general ministry area most closely related to the donor’s original request.

Automate the Important
You can set your budget and know God’s gift will go automatically to Him on your designated date. Online giving makes it more difficult for other financial responsibilities to let you compromise your faith promise to God.
As a testimony to your faithfulness
We all try to remember to bring our offering in our designated envelopes every Sunday. But often we put them in the wrong Bible or purse and forget them. Or when you go on vacation, do you give in advance or just skip the month? Online giving speaks to our faithfulness in giving.
You help our church
Managing the church budget is not an easy task. Through giving online, you can assure the base of regular financial support for the church.
You are a witness to other believers
As you assure that your monetary gift to FBS is regular and on time, you will be an example for others to follow and can give testimony to the blessing of faithful giving.
