I know it’s crucial to pause our spirit, calm ourselves and listen to the Lord for guidance but it’s so hard when it’s your own father.

Very anxious about the upcoming school year. I will be in a new teaching position at the high school and with the COVID concerns, being a teacher has now become more complicated. I feel overwhelmed with setting up my new classroom and dealing with the new technology. I have taken one of the online courses and am already a bit confused. I don’t have friends that I can go to at the high school (yet), so I am already feeling a little on my own. Please pray for clarity and ease the first week of school as I set up my classroom and try to learn the new technology I will be working with. Pray that I will make friends quickly among the faculty and staff. pray for the students I will teach, pray that I will be able to meet their academic needs as well as be a help to them with their other issues. Pray, of course, for the faculty’s health and for our students’ health. Pray for peace over all the paperwork I will be in charge of- you could also pray specifically for a co-teacher who wants desperately to do all the paperwork and see no students (she will only be there 1 period a day) & that the principal will see the wisdom in one person doing the mounds and mounds of record keeping and paperwork and give it to her

please remember my brother Stanley. He had hip surgery in March and he had some difficulties getting over the surgery so that now even after 3 months of rehab, he is still unable to walk or drive. His therapy will end next week and he is not willing to do the work required to get better walking or driving. He is fearful of falling. He has a wheelchair at home and can live by himself, but he won't try to exercise to strengthen his muscles. Pray for me as I try to take him to doctor's appointments and give me grace to work with him and give him some encouragement. He is so negative and it's difficult dealing with him. Pray also for his salvation. He has a mental illness, also, so we're dealing with that as well. Pray that God will continue to give me strength.
