What is Let Worship Lead?

A SEASON OF GATHERING. In 2017, we felt a strong call from God to change things up. Through much praying and seeking the Lord, Dr. Don, the Church Council and leadership all saw God working, and the movement coined “Let Worship Lead” was born. As of August 20, 2017 a few key things have been different here at FBS, and all with the intention to gather us together and listen to God about the next big picture He has for our church. Our worship services went from 4 smaller services with live video-sync at the 9:00 and 10:30 in the Hangar Auditorium and Sanctuary to two huddled-together services at 9:30 (Celebration) and 11:00 (Genesis), both in the Sanctuary with Dr. Don Wilton preaching live. Our welcoming teams and guest services launched a huge, unified push to help welcome friends into our doors like never before, and in 2017 we have seen skyrocketing engagement of our church members in local mission projects. In “huddling together” our worship services for a season, we have seen an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in a powerful way as we seek God’s next steps for our individual lives, our church, and our community.

What is next for FBS?

A MASTER’S PLAN. As we gather for a season of Let Worship Lead, we are actively seeking a “Master’s Plan” for what God would have our church do in the near future. In March of 2018, a special event called STIR 2018 is designed to help us individually reignite our passion for sharing Jesus in our personal lives, and again give us an opportunity to fast and pray as a church family to see what things, on massive scales and in minute details, God would have us do to reach our city and our world.
