INVITATION

Faith to Keep Fighting
Mark 5:25-34

Clayton King

Have you experienced a long period of time when you struggled with an issue, prayed, and still God didn’t answer? Perhaps your situation involved a prodigal child, an addiction, or, as in the case of the woman in Mark 5, an ongoing health issue the doctors couldn’t resolve. Did you grow frustrated, discouraged, and feel as if God had forgotten you?

The woman’s story in Mark 5 reminds us that there are problems in our lives only Jesus can fix. She sought the help of numerous doctors, yet they were powerless to sure her. Her healing came through a bold step of faith. She heard Jesus was in her area, and, as a woman considered unclean because of her health issue, risked going out in public to find Jesus and touch the hem of his garment. Her faith and courage were rewarded with immediate healing. After twelve years, the woman was free from her affliction.

Are you in need of physical, emotional, or spiritual healing? Have you stopped praying and given up? Now is the time to take the next step in faith. Believe God’s promises, trust his power, and reach out to him today.
