Winter Weekend is a powerful three-day experience designed to bring students closer to God and closer to each other. Over the course of the weekend, students will enjoy dynamic gatherings, small group discussions, serving oppurtunities and late-night activities that build faith & friendships.

Highlights include:

  • Engaging worship gatherings and breakout sessions with guest speakers

  • Crew games competitions

  • Service projects and time to connect in groups

  • Fun late-night events: Laser Tag for middle school and Bowling for high school

  • A Saturday night bonfire to close the evening together

We’ll kick off Friday night with dinner, games, and our first gathering, then dive into a full Saturday of worship, breakouts, serving, and fun. The weekend wraps up Sunday morning with breakfast, a final gathering, and dismissal before worship at the main service.

Winter Weekend is the perfect mix of faith, fun, and community—an unforgettable time for students to grow and belong.

FAQs

Will my student spend the night somewhere?
Yes, if you would like them to, but this is not mandatory. We will have host homes split by grade and gender.

What’s included in the cost?
The $75 registration fee covers:

  • 4 meals

  • 2 late-night activities

  • Serving project supplies

  • T-shirt

  • Guest speaker- TBA

  • Incredible worship

  • Additional supplies as needed

Who is this for?
Winter Weekend is designed for FBS students in grades 6–12, but guests from other churches and the community are also welcome to join.

Can my student come and go if needed?
We strongly encourage families to plan ahead so students can stay for the full weekend. Missing portions of the event will take away from the experience we’ve intentionally designed.

Are scholarships available?
Yes, but on a limited basis because this weekend is under $100. However, if you are unable to make any or all of the payment, please reach out to us before deciding not to attend at twilliams@fbs.org or rlandford@fbs.org. We will send you a financial assistance form to fill out.
