My wife Ruth suffered a hemorrhagic brain stroke on Feb 4th of this year. She is 73 and I am 76. She survived with no apparent physical damage and her speech was not affected. Her ability to sing and finger pick the guitar was not affected either.
She did lose her ability to recognize numbers and most written words.
She has been in Virginia receiving intensive speech and word therapy since the 4th of March. We have been married 51 years (as of Aug 24th) and I have remained in Greer. The separation has been incredibly difficult but God has provided therapy she couldn't receive at home.
Please pray for us as we go through this trial. God has shown us such grace and mercy but it is still a challenge for our entire family.
