What is it?
The Bridge Christmas Shop provides a fun and affordable Christmas shopping experience for families in the Northside of Spartanburg, allowing parents the dignity of purchasing gifts for their own children within their means. The Bridge does this by receiving toy donations from the community, First Baptist Spartanburg, and partnering organizations.
Bridge Volunteers price these new, donated items at a tenth of their original cost for purchase by the families. Families can then spend up to $20 for three or less children, plus $5 for any additional children in their family.
This is a great opportunity for parents who wish to provide Christmas for their own children. On December 9-10, families who have been identified and referred to us through The Bridge Compassion Ministry, Cleveland Elementary, Lone Oak Elementary, Mary H Wright Elementary, or Jesse Bobo; will come and shop on our campus.
The Bridge provides a fun shopping experience complete with Christmas music, Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, coffee, and complimentary Christmas wrapping.
If you are interested in partnering with the Bridge Christmas Shop, please bring all donations to the Bridge. Volunteers will sort donations, price each item, and then immediately identify and purchase any additional needs. The morning of December 9 volunteers will set up for Christmas Shop to begin Saturday afternoon, December 9.
When is it?
The Christmas shop will be open December 9-10.
Donations can be brought during the event.
