Greg Springsteen, Minister to Preschool & Children

gspringsteen@fbs.org

Greg is a PK (Preacher’s Kid) and grew up in the Midwest. He met Angela, his wife, at Liberty University in Virginia. They are the proud parents of 5 kids, Makayla, Lexi, Olivia, Taylor and Sierra. Even though he does not drink sweet tea or love grits he still considers the south his home. He loves traveling, any water sport, Mountain Dew, and French fries. His greatest passion in ministry is serving and supporting young families as they travel through the parenting journey. His greatest joy is his family and wants each family to have this same experience. Matt 6:33, “…Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”

Canella Dillard, Director of Preschool Ministries

Canella brings many years of teaching experience and a passion for helping preschoolers begin to know and understand the love of our heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.  She has taught in Spartanburg County public schools, as well as in our Weekday School here at FBS.  Canella has been a member of FBS since her teenage years and has volunteered in almost every area of ministry here since then.  She is the wife of Britt Dillard, Minister of Media and the mother of Aubrey and Logan.  "The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid?"  Psalm 27:1 is her life verse.  Canella's favorite things to do are to prepare the soil, plant the seeds and help things grow.  This applies to flowers, veggies and especially children!

She is married to Keith, our Minister to Single Adults & Assoc. w/ Pastoral Ministries. Her favorite verse is Isaiah 41:13, For I the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, “Fear not, I will help you.”

Rebecca Sowell, Children's Ministry Assistant

rsowell@fbs.org

Rebecca joined The Kid Depot in January of 2010 after graduating from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  A native of Tifton, Georgia, Rebecca proudly supports her alma mater, The University of Georgia.  A few of Rebecca's interests include coffee, playing the piano, all things camp and breakfast foods.  Someday Rebecca hopes to learn how to play the drums.  One of her favorite verses is Zephaniah 3:17, "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing".

Cheryl Hill, Weekday Preschool Director

chill@fbs.org

Cheryl has been a part of the Weekday Preschool team since 1982.  Her teaching experiences in the preschool prepared the way to accept the position of Director of Weekday Preschool in 2006.  A preschooler once quoted that "Mrs. Hill is the new prisoner of the preschool" and meant to say "principal"!  She uses her time away to pursue her other joys, spending time with her husband, David and three children as well as their growing family.  She is delighted about recently becoming a grandmother!  She also designs and sells jewelry and enjoys photography.  "A preschooler will always love you unconditionally...they are a daily example of our heavenly Father".  In Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these".
