By the time they are three years old, many children have learned to sing “The Wise Man Built His House upon the Rock.” That action-filled song teaches children the importance of a strong foundation at an early age. The house built upon the sand could not stand, but the one built on the rock “stood firm.”

Encouraging Today Impacting Tomorrow has a firm foundation. This campaign is resting securely on seven stones – the seven areas where the funds raised by Encouraging Today Impacting Tomorrow will be used.

These stones are truly foundational. Some of them are part of the ministry of our church that is not often seen. Those stones include Key Foundations and Debt Elimination. Spartanburg 1st will provide a foundation for reaching out to others in our community. Children Next will upgrade our children’s ministry in a way that will truly impact tomorrow. First Impressions is putting a fresh new “smile” on the appearance of our church and Media Mission makes it possible to continue broadcasting with excellence. The Transportation stone revitalizes our outreach and capability to reach within and beyond our own community.

Together these stones provide a firm foundation for our campaign. Together these stones provide a strong basis for ministry. Together these stones give us a foundation that stands firm.

Consider the seven stones of Encouraging Today Impacting Tomorrow and pray for the success of the campaign. And as you do, think about the man who built his house on the rock. What kind of foundation do you have in your life? Are you on the sinking sand or are you standing firm on the Rock?
