Seth Buckley, Minister to Students 
Seth has been with us since December of 1996 . He graduated from Furman University and received his Master of Arts from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served several churches...all in the great Palmetto state and he is a consultant for the SC Baptist Convention. Seth has a beautiful wife Robin, and 4 exciting kids...Jacob, Caleb, Eli, and Micah!
Matt Kuhn, Associate Minister to Students 
Matt joined our staff in June 2011. Matt was born and raised in Spartanburg and graduated from Charleston Southern University with a degree in Youth Ministry. Since graduation he has served in several churches in the state and truly has a heart for students. His desire is to see students come to know the Lord, worship Him and serve Him in the areas where God is calling. Matt has been married to his beautiful wife Mollie for 7 years. They have two precious girls Hannabeth and Julianne.
Jimmie Davis, Girl's Ministry Director
Jimmie joined our staff in April 2004. Jimmie attended Converse College and has an Advanced Certificate in Women’s Ministry from the New Orleans Theological Seminary. Jimmie worked along side her husband in Youth Ministry for 25 years and has now accepted God’s call on her life to Girls’ Ministry. Jimmie is the author of the Girls’ Ministry Handbook and the Girls' Ministry Idea Book by LifeWay. She loves being with teenage girls and training women in Girls’ Ministry. She is the wife of our Associate Pastor, Sam Davis. Sam and Jimmie are the parents of two grown children, have a wonderful son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and are the proud grandparents of Kendall, Kyle, and Kade.

Kristen joined our team in June of 2011. She grew up in Lexington, SC, though she now considers home to be in Orlando, FL with her family. She is a recent graduate of Charleston Southern University with a degree in Biblical Studies. Throughout college she served in various campus ministries as well as Summersalt, South Carolina Baptist Convention’s summer camp, where she developed a love for students and for girls ministry. Her passion is to see students fall deeply in love with Jesus and worship Him with all of their might. She desires to see First Baptist Church Students develop a love for the Scriptures and to help equip students to pour out their love for Jesus on the people of this city and the nations. She is blessed with two incredible, godly parents, Charles and Janet Butler, and a beautiful older sister, Lori.

Christopher is from Spartanburg, and grew up attending First Baptist Church. After interning with the youth for three summers, Christopher is excited to be on our staff full time. He graduated from Furman University with degrees in History and Communication Studies. Christopher enjoys discussing history, literature, and the intricacies of Christianity. It is his desire to help students delve deeper into their faith.
Rhonda Lanford, Ministry Secretary
Rhonda graduated from Winthrop College and has served at First Baptist Church for the past 22 years. She has been married to her wonderful husband Chip for 28 years, they have 2 grown children, Matt who is in East Asia and Bailey and her husband Tripp who live in Spartanburg.
Rhonda and Chip love the beach, family time, and riding 4 wheelers.
