The Helping Ministries Center at First Baptist Spartanburg serves our community in several different ways. We help provide all those in need with food and clothing. We also help in a limited way with rent, power bills, water bills and medications. Everyone who visits the Helping Ministries Center has the opportunity to hear the gospel presented to fill their ultimate need for a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Monday  9 am - 12 pm   Assistance given with food, clothing, utilities, & rent

Weds & Fri  9am - 12 pm  Food & clothing only

 

 

Assistance Given

Assistance with food and clothing will be available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Limited financial assistance for rent, utility bills, and medication, will be available on Mondays only.  Written documentation is required for all financial assistance, including a note from a landlord for rent and a new prescription for medications.    

Where To Go

For food, financial assistance, and men’s clothing, please enter through the lower-back entrance.
For women’s clothing, children’s clothing, and household items, please enter through the upper-front entrance.

How You Can Help

Prayer

Pray for the clients who come to the Helping Center in search of basic needs. Pray that they would find their ultimate need in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pray for the volunteers who work faithfully to ensure that everyone who comes is treated with dignity and respect. Pray that they would have the opportunity to share Christ.

Give

Donation box: You can donate your used, good condition clothing at our donation box which is located outside the West (Gym) Entrance of the main building.

Financially: You can give by writing a check made payable to First Baptist Church with the words "Helping Center" in the memo line.  If you are interested in donating items, view our list of what is most needed:  Helping Center Current Needs
