The Good News Club will meet in the E.P. Todd School cafeteria each Thursday afternoon from 2-4pm September 22, 2011. Last semester, GNC had an average attendance of 106, and more than twenty children invited Jesus into their hearts. We are always in need of more team members, but the increase in our average attendance magnifies this need. Our GNC Team is praying Matthew 9: 37-38; Then He said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plentiful , but the laborers are few.If God is calling you into His harvest field at E.P.  Child Evangelism Fellowship also known as CEF is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization that is dedicated to seeing every child reached with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, discipled and established in a local church.

CEF has different types of evangelistic programs, but the two most identified with the organization are 5-Day Club and Good News Club. First Baptist conducts a Good News Club at E.P. Todd Elementary on Thursday afternoons. The clubs begin after school in the cafeteria for K5 to 5th grade.  After snack time, volunteers share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ using Bible lessons, music, games, memory verses, and mission stories. An invitation is usually given, and discipleship is emphasized.

    How: As individuals or LIFE Groups

Individuals and groups - we need your help in reaching more children year around. God has given you a wide variety of skills and experiences. We desire to match your skills and abilities with the needs during the time you are here. Here are some areas needing volunteer help:

  • Provide snacks for a week
  • Volunteer to be a Grade Shepherd (no advanced preparation required)
  • Pray for children (requests will be provided)
  • Assist with seasonal parties
