2012 Global MPACT Trips
East London, South Africa - March 23- April 8, 2012
A team of 15-20 will be building two orphan homes and conducting children's VBS/sports camps. The building of orphan homes will allow children to be raised in a Christian environment. There could be over 200 children in attendance. Estimated cost: $2800.
East Asia Cultural Exchange Team - March and April 2012
Teams of 4-20 students will reach out to university students for a 12 day period in a city of one million people. The participant will serve with FBS personnel. The focus for the project will be relationship building through cultural exchange in order to disciple and evangelize national university students. Estimated cost: $2500.
East Asia Semester Student - Spring 2012
Students will reach out to university students while studying the local language for a 4 month period. The participant will serve with FBS personnel. The focus of the project will be relationship building in order to disciple and evangelize national university students. Lodging will be provided at a local hotel. Estimated cost: $5500.
East Asia Semester English Teacher - Spring 2012
This person will reach out to university students while teaching English for a 4 month period. The participant will serve with FBS personnel. The focus of the project will be relationship building in order to disciple and evangelize national university students. Lodging will be at a local hotel. Estimated cost: $5500.
East Asia Summer Student Teams - Mid-May through June 2012
This trip is organized through Campus Crusade for Christ. This project will be for cultural exchange students in a major city in East Asia. The participants will serve with FBS personnel. The focus of the project will be relationship building through studying a language in order to disciple and evangelize national university students. A team of 10-15 students is requested. Housing is on-campus hotel or dorms. Team will be supervised by our career Campus Crusade worker from FBS. Estimated cost: $5500.
Central Asia - June 30 - July 12, 2012
This project is part of our partnership with personnel in Central Asia. We will provide orphanage camp construction plus VBS meetings for fifteen children who are mostly teenagers in the orphanage. Estimated cost: $2600.
East Asia - July 11-30, 2012
This team of 15 to 25 will assist teachers in sharing Biblical stories and American Christian culture with multi-cultural Asians and migrants. Lodging will be in a modest hotel. The team will spend 19 days on the field. The trip is led by Jack and Bess Johannes. Estimated cost: $2500.
Haiti Merge Trip - July 14-21, 2012
A team of 25-30 will work predominantly among children in a poverty stricken countryside where the people are unchurched and undiscipled. Estimated cost: $1200.
Greece - July 16-28, 2012
A team of 20 will work with other churches to do VBS for the children of M's during Central Europe's annual meeting. There will be approximately 1,000 people attending and more than 200 volunteers are needed. Multiple churches will be involved to help the personnel in this location. Estimated cost: $2400.
Romania - July 19-31, 2012
A team of 6-8 people are needed for 10 days to conduct VBS in local school buildings. Construction team is also needed for Camp and Retreat Center Construction. Our FBS team will join other churches. Team training and planning is sponsored by There is Hope Foundation. Estimated cost: $1800.
Brazil - Summer 2012
Medical doctor, dentist, nurses, and assistants are needed to reach villagers along the Amazon River. This team of 8-10 will travel on a Brazil/ Bolivia river boat reaching otherwise unreachable villages with medical care. Estimated cost: $2000.
