Feed the Community     November 25, 2010

So many of us enjoy a hot meal with family and friends at Thanksgiving. However, there are thousands of people throughout Spartanburg who can not provide that for their own families. Through Feed the Community, our goal is to make sure that every person in Spartanburg has the opportunity to enjoy a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day. In 2008, we provided meals for 7,300 people and that number increased in 2009 to 8,140 people served.

We will continue our participation with Feed the Community, but in order to make this event a success we will need hundreds of volunteers. Would you like to volunteer to help on our cooking team which begins the Monday morning before Thanksgiving Day? Would you like to serve meals or deliver meals on Thanksgiving Day? Can you pitch in and help clean up after the event on Thursday afternoon? We have all these opportunities we need to fill and more! There is no better way to show your thankfulness than to serve others on Thanksgiving Day.

If you would like to sign up to help, please email us at mpact@fbs.org or call the MPACT office at      699-4321.

Do you need a meal?

Our reservations will begin the week before Thanksgiving. We will have a phone number set aside just for meal reservations, so check back on this website for information on how to reserve your meal. You may also email us at mpact@fbs.org for information about ordering online.
