...to Him be glory in the church and
in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”
Why are we asking for
committed giving through a faith promise? First, because it is a serious
decision to give consistently for a three-year
period. Second, because knowing the congregation’s financial commitment
will enable our church leaders to plan
accurately, borrow less, and be wise stewards of our tithes and offerings.
Prayerful consideration of
your faith promise will have a great impact on our ability to move forward with
God’s plan. This is not a commitment to enter into lightly.
We look forward to God blessing
all the people of First Baptist Spartanburg. As you consider your sacrificial
gift, remember we are not the only
ones receiving a blessing from God. Spartanburg 1st provides a way for us to
make a difference in the community.
There are thousands of lost souls in our community. We want to have an impact
on them. We want to be a church where everyone can invite anyone to come to
know the One.
This is a defining moment. We
have the opportunity to join God in His plans for this church and community for
years to come. God has given us an opportunity to join Him in impacting people
for Jesus Christ for future generations. Others responded to
God’s challenge in the past. Now it is our turn.
Your commitment to sacrificial
giving is critical. Your commitment in seeking God, His Word, His heart, and
His wisdom is vitally important to
reaching our community for Christ.
Accept the challenge. Take the
road that seems difficult now and begin a deeper journey. Make a commitment to
grow in your relationship and service to God. Accept the privilege to be an
instrument to take Christ’s message of forgiveness and love to a world
that is desperate for what only He can give.
Remember the One we serve and
His purpose for which we live. First Baptist Spartanburg has been blessed
because our vision has always been Christ-centered and focused on reaching
others.
Commit your way to the Lord, trust
in Him, and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the
dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
