First Baptist has a wonderful heritage dating back to its founding in February of 1839 when twenty-five people organized First Baptist Church with John G. Landrum as their first pastor. We celebrate this legacy and look forward to he future. Today, the over 7000 members- men, women, boys and girls of FBS celebrate what God is doing, and look ahead with great anticipation as to what God will do through the people of First Baptist Spartanburg!
