Bill Stewart -
Having “grown up” in First Baptist, I have witnessed first hand the leadership of three fine
pastors. Through each of their tenures, our church body has remained focused on
teaching the Word of God and introducing people to Jesus Christ as their Lord
and Savior. As a congregation, we planned for the future, prayed, and moved
forward in faith. I am passionate about Encouraging Today Impacting Tomorrow
because it will enable us to build upon our heritage and continue doing with
excellence what God has called us to do.
John Faris -
We are
surrounded with negative news and people telling us how bad things are going to
get. The world is full of uncertainty, and we do not know what the future holds
but we know Who holds the future. Right now at this time in our history, we at
First Baptist Spartanburg have never had a better opportunity to impact the
future for Jesus Christ. Through our multiple worship services, Bible teaching
for all ages, mission programs and media outreach, we can impact Spartanburg
and beyond for Jesus Christ.
Al Clark -
In our local
church, Encouraging Today
Impacting Tomorrow allows us to participate in
the propagation of God’s Kingdom. Our encouragement today is the untold
privilege to ensure we do our part in this corner of God’s Vineyard.
Every believer has been given the ministry of reconciliation. There is no
greater encouragement than to provide a place as a downtown church where
God’s people are encouraged each week and people come to know the saving
grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
